The ProTech® start capacitor is an air conditioner capacitor that was made to store energy and provide that energy to the HVAC motor upon start-up and when operating. Starting HVAC capacitors quickly increase the motor's starting torque and allow for a heating and cooling motor to be cycled on and off rapidly.
