Greg has over 36 years in the HVAC industry. Over the years he's worked in all aspects of the trade, including installer, service technician, Installation Manager, Service Manager, and General Manager. His work experience includes design, troubleshooting, sales, and education. Prior to Joining Virginia Air he was the General Manager of a Cleveland/Akron based residential and commercial contractor. Greg holds Ohio state licenses for HVAC, Hydronics, Refrigeration, and Electrical.
Jim has been involved in the HVAC industry since 1990, learning the HVAC/R trade in the United States Army. Over the years, he has worked in various roles, from installation to service to management. Jim holds National Comfort Institute certifications as a Commercial Air Balancer as well as a Carbon Monoxide and Combustion Analyst. He also holds NATE certifications in Air Conditioning Installation and Service, Heat Pump Installation and Service, Air Distribution Installation and Service, and Gas Furnace Installation and Service.. Additionally, he holds certification as a factory-authorized Startup and Commissioning Agent for Johnson Controls Unitary Products up to 40 tons in capacity. Jim is very proud to be a member of the best Technical Service team in the HVAC profession; striving to provide the best service to all customers of Value Added Distributors.
Chris has over 26 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including time as a contractor/owner. He started out as an installation helper and worked his way up through his career to become service manager with a local contractor in the Richmond area. Chris has vast experience in geothermal, residential service, duct design, hydronics in addition to installation of equipment with additional responsibilities over the years with residential and commercial sales. Prior to joining the Virginia Air team Chris worked for a commercial contractor out of the Tidewater area.
Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting sports and being outdoors. He is very excited to join the Virginia Air team and looks forward to providing world class service and technical support to our customer base.
Don has spent 39 years in the HVAC industry working in residential, light commercial, and commercial service. Starting in 1980 as a service technician, he worked his way up to service manager where his responsibilities included scheduling and supervising the repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems. Don also worked as an operations manager, where he oversaw the day to day operations of a family owned HVAC company.
Don Joined Virginia Air in 2008 and is one of our Geothermal champions. He also specializes in control wiring and feels his troubleshooting is an asset to our customer base. Don is excited to continue with Virginia Air and looks forward to providing technical training and assistance to our customers.
Shawn Conaway has been in the HVAC industry since 1998, 26 years in Virginia Beach, VA market. Worked as installer, technician, service manager and owner/operator on all types of residential and light commercial systems. Joined Value Added Distributors/Master Group in August 2018 as Technical Service Manager for Virginia Region (RUUD DSC). Was awarded RUUD DSC of the year in 2019 VAD employee of the Year VA/WV region 2020
Adam has over 23 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Adam started in the trade as an apprentice and worked his way up to a master technician.
Adam has gained a vast knowledge of residential and commercial systems of all types. He joined the VAD team in 2020. His willingness to continue his education in the trade while assisting others has been a great addition to our team.
Adam enjoys traveling, sports, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Adam feels blessed to be a member of one of the best technical support teams in the profession and will help our customers and fellow employees any way he can.
Michael Kimberlin started his Heating and Air Conditioning career in 2003, he used the Montgomery GI Bill to attend Rowan Cabarrus Community College to earn his degree. He became a service tech in the industry and has been in the field for 23 years. He ran new construction crews for 16 years as Senior Service/Warranty Tech. He has been married for 30 years, has 2 children, began work for VADHVAC in April of 2024.
With a decade of experience in the HVAC industry, Cole has built a diverse and accomplished career. He began as a residential and commercial service technician and has since advanced into leadership roles in both service and installation management. Cole holds North Carolina H-2 and H-3 Class 1 licenses, along with a Universal EPA certification, underscoring his technical expertise and commitment to professional standards.Â
Outside of work, Cole enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also passionate about hobbies such as playing guitar and restoring old motorcycles. Cole is proud to continue his career with the outstanding technical service team at VAD, where he looks forward to contributing to a tradition of excellence. Â Â
Glenn has spent his entire career working in the HVAC industry. He began as an HVAC installer, later owned his own HVAC business, and has spent many years providing technical support and training to contractors across the United States.
Glenn is especially passionate about helping contractors and their employees deliver HVAC products and services that exceed customers’ expectations. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a strong team of support professionals.
Outside of work, Glenn enjoys gardening, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife also attend and actively support Solid Rock Baptist Church in Liberty, SC.
Brian is the TSM for the southern and western VA area and currently resides in Roanoke, VA with his wife Chelseas and their dog Milo. He is a Gulf War era veteran of the US Army where he repaired M1 Abrams battle tanks. Since then he has worked in the RHVAC field for over 25 years gaining his initial education in RHVAC technology from Triangle Tech in Pittsburgh, PA. In that time, he gained experience in residential and commercial service and installation across all major brands in five different states and ran an HVAC contracting business and was a York CCE dealer. He has worked as a class 3 power engineer, monitoring the steam generating boilers and chillers for a private hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He holds Nate CHP-5 certification, ESCO universal refrigerant handling certification, and is a registered proctor for ESCO. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Science in Project Management from Liberty University.
Paul is a US Marine Corps veteran who joined our industry in 1991. He started his HVAC career as an entry-level apprentice. Over the years, Paul progressively worked his way up through the ranks. He has worked in all aspects of the trade, and has served in various roles, positions, and titles; ranging from Install Mechanic, Install Foreman, to Project Sales, Project Estimator, Project Manager, to Sales, Service, and Lead Technician, to Service Manager. His background spans from residential, multi-family, light-commercial, and commercial, to data center and industrial process applications. Paul has a broad range of mechanical and technical experience. Paul is highly focused on customer service and goes beyond to support the company's customers, coworkers, culture, and goals. Paul joined the VAD/Master Group in October of 2024 as the Technical Service Manager serving Raleigh NC and the surrounding area. Paul is excited to join VAD's professional TSMs and looks forward to moving ahead with the team. Paul enjoys spending time with his family and friends, talking, socializing, listening to music, and watching sports. His passions include cooking, grilling, fishing, shooting, coaching, mentoring, and working on creative home improvement projects. Paul is married to his wife Alissa and lives in Fuquay-Varina NC.
