You might have already heard mention of our new company, Valued Added Distributors, or VAD. We have formed this new company as a parent company for our now three subsidiary companies, the largest and most well-known of course is Virginia Air Distributors. On January 1st of this year we acquired the assets of General Wholesale Distributors, GWD, in South Carolina and recently in late April we acquired the assets of Allied Heating and Cooling Sales Corporation in Virginia. On June 1st General Wholesale Distributors will drop the GWD name and will start doing business as South Carolina Air Distributors. Allied Heating and Cooling Sales Corporation has already changed its name to Allied HVAC Distributors. Both new companies will share in the Virginia Air philosophy of providing outstanding customer service and helping our contractor customers be more successful. All three subsidiary companies will operate from their respective facilities with their respective employees. Corporate staff, based in Richmond, VA, will serve all three subsidiaries and under the VAD name.

As we move forward we will continue to develop unique identities for each business unit with their own websites, email extensions, etc... In the short term you will soon see the VAD logo appearing on more communications including monthly statements and email signatures. When possible we will continue to include the logo and name of the specific business to avoid confusion, for example quotes, orders, and invoices.
